This package includes staying at three South Louisiana B&Bs and gives you the opportunity to experience a taste of Louisiana culture in three areas of the state – Baton Rouge, the Capital City of Louisiana, a short drive to River Road plantations; Breaux Bridge and the swamp; a Crawfish Excursion (seasonal) or Cajun Meal in Kaplan

The Stockade Bed and Breakfast, Baton Rouge, Louisiana:

Stay in this historic bed and breakfast located on the Civil War Highland Stockade site which was once located on its grounds. Baton Rouge is the capitol of Louisiana; explore historic and modern-day attractions. Your 2-night stay includes two passes to the Rural Life Museum and Old State Capitol (except on Mondays visit Magnolia Mound Plantation since the Old State Capitol is closed). You may also want to take a day trip to River Road plantations (not included in price).

Cajun Country Cottages, Breaux Bridge, Louisiana:

Step back in time as you experience a unique bed and breakfast in one of our historical cottages. Nestled away on our secluded property, overlooking a private, stocked 5-acre lake, are our delightful cottages from a by-gone era. Situated on the old Magenta Plantation site, peace and tranquility await you as you experience this simpler, quieter lifestyle. It may be swinging on our porch swings, taking a leisurely walk, reading a good book on the lake’s edge, canoeing or trying your luck at fishing. And of course, where else can you experience true southern hospitality at its best, except in Cajun Country! Your stay includes a fun and educational swamp tour on Lake Martin. There are many nearby restaurants serving Cajun cuisine (not included in price).

Crawfish Haven/Mrs. Rose’s Bed and Breakfast, Kaplan, Louisiana:

Stay in an authentic Acadian home situated on 2 acres and built in 1903, nestled in the middle of Cajun Country. Your 2-night stay includes a Crawfish Excursion for two persons (December – May). The crawfish caught may be boiled for you to enjoy (additional price). When crawfish are not in season (June – November), enjoy a Cajun Meal for 2 cooked by the owner of the B&B, Barry Toups, who has won numerous awards for his cooking skills.

Package Rate:

December – May (Crawfish Season) – $1235 for 2 persons (including taxes)

June – November – $1165 for 2 persons (including taxes)

Accommodations are for double occupancy; for a standard queen accommodation. Room upgrades may be accommodated for added cost. The package is subject to
